It's been ages!

Well, it's been ages since I last saw this blog. I have kinda forgotten it.
It was amazing to see there are 4 people from my previous students (IMA) who were once interested and appear as my contacts. Nice!!! Thank you, girls!!!!
What about dropping a line or two to let me know how your reading is going?
Have you used or put into practice any of the sayings?
In my case, I have learned more about the reading strategies, while developing the communicative and social skills in a group; my new programme is really awesome!

Homeless Dogs Need Help

Hi everybody,
This is a special note on those who really love dogs, especially the ones who are interested in taking care or help dogs without a home in Mexico City.

I'm a volunteer at PNA Mexico. This is an organization in charge, among other things, of taking care of homeless dogs and cats, they've got a hospital and a place where they keep dogs of various sizes and breeds. What I'm requesting of any of my students, or any other person who reads this blog for that matter, is that you try to keep plastic bags and old newspapers and give them to me, the organization needs those two things badly: one is for taking the dogs' poos and the other for putting in their cages. I would really appreciate your giving me a few, many, some, whatever of this two stuff: bags and papers.

All the dogs, volunteers and administrative personnel will be thankful towards you for this help.
In any case, if you're interested in adopting a homeless dog or cat, do not hesitate to contact me; but just remember that adopting an animal implies responsibility from your part at all times and conditions.

Thanks a lot anyway.

P. S. This is a service that has nothing to do with me being a teacher, so if you're willing to help, please, it is because you really want to.

Phrases worth reading and analysing

"Some people invest themselves on their pain and they turn away from love and the things that strengthen them and nurture their lives."

I came across this wise phrase some time ago. What do you think it means? How does it apply to your life or experience? Send me a comment!

Why Reading is Awesome?

Three reasons why reading is awesome for me are:

1. You get to exercise your imagination.
2. You can get lost in different situations, places, characters and contexts.
3. It helps you improve your analytical skills as well as increase your knowledge, culture and vocabulary.

What about you, which are your three reasons? Send me a comment!!!
